5 Adele Moments at the 2017 Grammys that Made Us Love Her Even More

Everyone loves Adele. Of all the artists on top of their game today, Adele is perhaps the most loved of them all. It could be the way she laughs or the way she answers interviews. It could also be the way she handles controversies and the way she interacts with her fans. Most of all, it is just her sheer talent and amazing voice. Adele didn’t have to do crazy stunts or perform with almost nothing on her body to be noticed. By simply belting her heart out and creating songs that pinch us straight in the heart, she has already won us over.

After the 59^th Grammy Awards, Adele has proven that she is definitely the queen of the masses. She has received several standing ovations throughout the night. She has proven that she is not just an amazing talent, but also a wonderful person. Here are 5 of the biggest moments that took place during the awards night that made Adele simply the best.

5. Her rendition of “Hello” during the opening was unbelievable.

We have heard Adele sing “Hello” several times and we have even broken down in tears because of that song. Despite that, hearing her sing the hit song during the Grammy’s opening was no different. She has touched our hearts like she always used to and she sang the song as if it was just our first time hearing it. She hit the bigger notes like no one else could and there was fierce intensity towards the end. There was no surprise when she won the Best Pop Solo Performance for this song as well as Song of the Year for the same song. We can still remember how she has sung her other hit song “All I Ask” flat in 2016, which went viral, and she redeemed herself this time around.

4. She started over again during the George Michaels tribute to make it perfect.

After her stunning opening number, Adele took the stage again to perform her tribute to George Michael. She performed “Fastlove” during the tribute, but just a few lines to the song, she swore on live TV, and decided to start over again. She said that she wanted to make it perfect because it was a tribute to George Michael. After her teary-eyed performance, she was met with loud applause and a standing ovation. She also later apologized several times for cursing.

3. Adele sweeps the win in all categories she was nominated.

Adele took home the top 3 Grammy Awards, including the record and song of the year. She has also won all 5 of the categories she was nominated in. She defeated other spectacular records including that of Beyoncé, Rihanna and Drake, and Justin Bieber. Although she was not the first artist to have won the top awards, it was still phenomenal. Her album, “21”, also won the Album of the Year award in 2012, and swept 6 awards during that year. Her heartfelt speeches in receiving all the awards definitely touched all of us.

2. She has expressed her love for Beyoncé after winning Album of the Year.

Adele seemed to have felt embarrassed after winning several times during the night that when she won the Album of the Year Award, she couldn’t help it and dedicated it to Beyoncé instead. She even said that she couldn’t possibly accept it (although she did). She mentioned just how monumental Beyoncé’s album was. She also said just how Beyoncé inspired her, along with her black friends. During her speech, Beyoncé could be seen in tears as the cameras were focused on both of them. If it was not enough, Adele even said that she cast her Grammy ballot for Lemonade to win Album of the Year. The sheer humility of Adele definitely made us love her more. Beyoncé fans would have been outraged more that Adele won, but what she has shown won Beyoncé’s fans over. After all, it wasn’t really her fault she won.

1. Adele broke her Grammys.

Perhaps, this is the funniest part of the evening. After giving a heartfelt speech to Beyonce and telling her that she deserved the award, she eventually broke the trophy. It seems like it was a sign of solidarity and she literally wanted to share the award with Beyonce. However, according to reports, it was just an accident. Later that night, Adele appeared with a brand new Grammy trophy for the photo shoots. It was also reported that the trophies stars receive during the show are not the real ones. They already know that breaking these valuable trophies will always happen. Therefore, they simply give the real one right after the show. Nevertheless, it was still a memorable moment and has made us fall in love with Adele even more.

The awards night was filled with surprises and stunning losses. Despite that, it was still a remarkable evening. Adele has shown to us why we love her and why she deserves our support even more. The night definitely belonged to her and she deserves every award she has received.

Not only is she an inspiring singer and an honest songwriter, she is also a great role model. She has always carried herself well. We have seen artists today being more focused on looking great or throwing shade at other artists. Adele on the other hand has shown to us what humility and love of work mean. She has also moved away from the usual catfights among female singers. Instead, she has sent a message to women that they should uplift each other instead of bringing each other down.
